Our Custom Engineered Guarding Process
Our design process begins with a safety guarding assessment that identifies hazards and takes a highly accurate scan of everything that needs to be guarded. We use FARO Freestyle 3D Laser Scanner technology so that we always capture every detail of the area on the first pass, ensuring measurement accuracy within 1.5mm or 0.059 inch. From there, our engineers begin designing your guards using the most advanced 3D CAD software available.
First, we create a 3D CAD image that shows you what the guard will look like once it's in place. You can see exactly how it will interact with your machinery and how your workers can easily—and safely—interact with your new guard. Once you've approved these initial models, the next design step begins. Guard-Safe Guarding creates a full range of fabrication and installation drawings for your approval so that you can see all of the details of your new guard before we begin construction.
Our guards are built from durable, high-quality materials chosen to suit the needs of your operation and powder finished in OSHA-compliant Safety Yellow. They are preassembled wherever possible to see that all the parts fit together perfectly before they arrive at your workspace, and then they’re carefully packaged and shipped in a wooden crate. We're happy to help ensure that a Guard-Safe Guarding technician is on site when your new guards arrive so that we can make sure that they are mounted properly for optimal functioning and a long life.
